IMPORTANT!! Ask your federal representative and senator to change the grandfather date for new tobacco products

I personally don’t want to go back to the days of blue foam and Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags, and although I have the gear to prevent that from happening, it’s the new vapers I’m most concerned about. Those looking to come into the light and rid themselves of combustible tobacco cigarettes. Let’s keep the current level of consistency, convenience, quality, and safety around for them. Please feel free to share.

From CASAA:

Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Rep. John Boehner (House Speaker), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (House Majority Leader), and Rep. Fred Upton (Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee) cosigned a letter to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Sylvia Burwell. In this letter they asked the FDA to consider changing the February 15, 2007 grandfather date for newly deemed tobacco products. They go on to suggest that the grandfather date be moved — perhaps to April 25, 2014, the day that FDA’s proposed regulations were submitted, or to the future date when the regulations are finalized.

Please take action now by telling your representative and senator that you support changing the grandfather date and, in fact, that the proposed tobacco regulations are inappropriate for e-cigarettes.
