A BATTERY MOOCH POST: When choosing a battery for a regulated device, coil resistance doesn’t matter.
Only the power setting you use determines how much current is drawn from the battery (up to the voltage/current limits of the device).
The battery isn’t connected to the coil, the regulator circuit board is. So if you’re using a device in variable-wattage (VW) mode then the battery will always just have to feed enough current to the regulator to make that amount of power. If you change the coil resistance, but not the power setting, the battery current will not change. Only if you change the power setting will the battery current change (assuming the mod doesn’t throttle back due to low battery voltage).

THE AGR+ CARTO TANK
A PBusardo Review – The AGR+ Tank
In this video we talk about the AGR+ carto tank and how it can be improved.
Turns out that the carto is not only getting it’s air from the slots in the locking ring, but also through the locking ring at the device’s 510 connection as well. If you unscrew the tank from the ring, airflow is restored. If you unscrew the entire tank including the locking ring, airflow is again restored.
IMHO, they need to seal the locking ring and allow for proper airflow through the air channels to the carto.

The Post Review Follow-up:
- 3/4/13 – I noticed (and forgot to mention in the review) that, although I didn’t see a heartbeat from the Crown, it will drain your battery when not in use. This is something that the manufacturer has acknoloedged and is addressing. It will not, however, drain the battery beyond 3V.
- 3/5/13 – The battery cover popping up slightly can be alleviated by tightening the nut under the switch. Sorry, should have realized this!
