This cell has \u201c45A max\u201d on the wrap, which is an impossible overrating. If \u201cmax\u201d is some sort of \u201cpulse\u201d rating it is useless because we don\u2019t know the pulse length, time between pulses, and the criteria used to set the rating. It cannot be used to compare this battery against any other.<\/p>\n

The wrap has \u201cIMR18650\u201d on it but this cell does not use the chemistry associated with the IMR model number prefix. It uses the chemistry sometimes indicated by the INR prefix.<\/p>\n

Its appearance is identical to the Sony VTC5 but this Brillipower doesn\u2019t perform as well. It appears to be a lower grade VTC5.<\/p>\n

I am rating this Brillipower cell at 20A and 2600mAh. With all the other cells that are available to us this one is a terrible choice and earns a Do Not Buy recommendation from me.<\/p>\n

The two cells that were tested were purchased for that purpose by me.<\/p>\n
