{"id":1955,"date":"2012-07-31T19:22:45","date_gmt":"2012-07-31T23:22:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tasteyourjuice.com\/wordpress\/?p=1955"},"modified":"2016-03-24T09:44:23","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T13:44:23","slug":"smoktech-vivi-rebuildable-first-rebuild","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tasteyourjuice.com\/wordpress\/archives\/1955","title":{"rendered":"SMOKTECH VIVI REBUILDABLE &#8211; FIRST REBUILD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, so I did a quick rebuild on this to see how it would work using the same materials I use to build my Odysseus coils.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wick from Clouds Of Vapor<\/li>\n<li>Resistance wire is Kanthal A-1 32 awg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s better than the pre-installed coil, but still not something I&#8217;d enjoy vaping. The wicks, as I expected, are simply not keeping up.<\/p>\n<p>I have been able to get some decent vapes off of it and have experienced some TH now. If I let it sit and rest between vapes, I can one or two decent hits before it gets weak. Chain vaping is impossible.<\/p>\n<p>Rebuilding it wasn&#8217;t too bad. Although the Odysseus is more complicated, I felt it was also an easier build. It&#8217;s close quarters in the Vivi for sure.<\/p>\n<p>Comments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be careful when you remove the assembly from the tank. The shaft could separate like it did on me. You could then potentially rip out the leads.\u00a0 See photos.<\/li>\n<li>When you unscrew the larger mount, it may separate from the body. If you hold the terminal, only the screw will come out. See photos.<\/li>\n<li>Getting the wick in the pre-drilled holes wasn&#8217;t bad at all.\u00a0 Just wet the tip and tighten it up a bit.<\/li>\n<li>I wound up with a coil of 1.7 Ohms.\u00a0 See photos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here is a gallery that shows some photos I took along the way.
