New evidence published today in the Cochrane Library finds <span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><strong>high certainty <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><strong>evidence that people are more likely to stop smoking for at least six months using nicotine e-cigarettes, or \u2018vapes\u2019, than using nicotine replacement therapies, such as patches and gums<\/strong><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"5glbi-1-5\">. Data from the review showed that if six in 100 people quit by using nicotine replacement therapy, eight to twelve would quit by using electronic cigarettes containing nicotine.
