While the FDA has rejected millions of products from the market, those products together represent only a fraction of total e-cigarette sales. In fact, <\/span><span style=\"color: #ffcc00\"><strong>the FDA has asked for yet another extension to make decisions on the most popular e-cigarette brands<\/strong><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-3\"> available on store shelves today. Admittedly, the PMTA process is complex and is inadvertently <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>shutting small vape companies out of the market<\/strong><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-5\">. A key part of this process requires significant data to indicate whether a product is appropriate for the protection of public health. The <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-6\">process is also expensive<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-7\">, with the <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\" data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-8\">FDA estimating an average cost between $200k-500K per application, but the costs are actually much higher<\/span><\/strong><span data-offset-key=\"ee3v6-0-9\">.
