But after watching your NJ Expo 1 &#038; 2 you&#8217;ve prodded me from the<br \/>\nsidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Briefly, I am 65 and have been on disability for COPD for a number of years.  I<br \/>\nsmoked 2 and a half packs a day for over 40 years.  In October 2013 I lost<br \/>\nconsciousness due to low blood oxygen level, fell, and suffered a compound fracture<br \/>\nof my leg.  During my two week stay in the hospital after the operation I was on<br \/>\nsome strong pain medicine and managed to do without nicotine.  When I released, I<br \/>\nknew I was in serious trouble.  Luckily, I had a cigalike kit I&#8217;d bought previously<br \/>\nbut never used after the first couple of puffs.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still off the smokes, and my breathing is getting better every day.  My<br \/>\ncardiologist is overjoyed at my heart function.<\/p>\n<p>I know you hear stories such as mine ad nauseum, but I wanted to explain my position<br \/>\nin the vaping world.  Along with saving my life, it has become a serious hobby.<\/p>\n<p>But the real reason for this message is to offer my heartfelt thanks for doing what<br \/>\nyou do.  Often I feel like an outcast when I watch the younger people vape, post<br \/>\nmessages, and enter cloud contests.  I don&#8217;t understand them.<\/p>\n<p>You offer the good sense and judgement of maturity, and I know I can trust what you<br \/>\nsay.
