THE V-MAX BY SMOKTECH

A PBusardo Review – V-Max – All About Vapor

Vendor Links:
All About Vapor

Update:

After only 2 short months my V-Max has gone bye bye. I have several friends I give units to for long term testing. It wasn’t dropped or abused. It still lights up when you put the batteries in, but it no longer fires. Could be a button issue, but I can’t figure out a way to get in there.

Also, the paint chips off very easily and someone showed me a unit at the New England vape meet that had stripped threads on the battery cap.

I hope yours fares better.

The ProVari V2

A PBusardo Review – The Provari V2 – Provape

ProVape

Follow-Ups:

  • Note that the ProVari only requires one battery. No need to stack.
  • The Price! Ok, I get it! The price is going to be a tough sell for many, and it’s understandable. But after holding it, using it, and experiencing the features, I can at least say I understand the price a lot better than I did before.
  • I said “operating system” and “software” in the review.  Probably should have said “firmware” but the word escaped me when I was recording.
  • You can turn the flashing battery low indicator off by turning the button light off via the menu.

F-50 Ovale V6 VV System – LJ’s E-Smokes

A PBusardo Review – F-50 Ovale V6 VV System – LJ’s E-Smokes
A 3 voltage setting device. 3.7V, 5V, 6V
www.ljesmokes.com

NOTE: This is not an official “OVALE” product and should not be confused with the company www.OvaleUSA.com.

Follow-Ups:

Although the device worked for me in the review, I gave the unit to a friend and it stopped working after a week. I have heard from another user of this as well. In both those cases, the ground wire came off the atty/carto connection. Finally, I’ve just been contacted by LJ. They said ALL the units, but one have been returned. They have taken care of their customers and pulled the unit from the site. Stay Away!!

I had a chance to analyze the unit I gave to my friend. I had originally thought it was the ground wire to the atty connection similar to what I’ve heard from other users. In this case the ground wire looked fine. After further inspection, I noticed the positive pin was just floating in the connector and therefore not making a good connection with the center post of his carto. See the photos below the original gallery.

VZ VV Tube Mod (AKA Lavatube) Full vs. Mini – Vaping Zone

A PBusardo Review – VZ VV Tube Mod (AKA Lavatube) Full vs. Mini – Vaping Zone
www.VapingZone.com

Follow-Ups:

  • The more I use the mini, the more I HATE where the button is!
  • The black plastic piece that is apparently glued to the bottom of the battery cap fell off.
  • The button has become a little inconsistent.  I would say every 4 out of 5 times is works but that 1 time I will press down and it will not activate.  Curious to see if it wears down more as time progresses.
  • The power on the unit I have definitely decreases as the battery charge level decreases. It is very noticeable, especially when the battery charge level approaches 3.5V.
